Joyce Bartlett was born in 1926.  She was also employed by the Dental Works at one time, and it was there that she met Eric Cornock, who she later married.  In 1991, Joyce and Eric moved to South Africa to be with their daughter Jane.  Eric passed away on December 10, 1991.
Joyce and Eric had three children:
        1)       Paul, married Jacqueline Steabben
        2)       Jane, married Charles M. Joyce and eventually moved to South Africa
        3)       Neill, married Gina Fazani

Joyce married Eric CORNOCK. Eric died 10 Dec 1991 in South Africa.

164. Arthur Stratton SCOTT (Alma Vera BARTLETT , Edward James , Nathaniel , Charles , Charles Cox , Thomas , Samuel , William , Samuel , Peter , William , Thomas ) was born 1922 in Barnet.

Arthur Stratton Scott was born in 1922 at Bruce Road, Barnet.  Trained as an Instrument Maker and as a Tool and Die Maker, he was also a member of the Territorial Army.  Mobilized at the beginning of World War II, he served on a searchlight site until 1943 when he transferred to the newly formed Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.  He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in England and India.  He met Kathleen Joyce Brooks (daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Lindridge) Brooks, bon 1923 in Cranbrook, Kent) while they were both at Woolwich dockyard workshop.  At the time he was in the Army and she was a civilian on war work.  They were married on January 8, 1944 at Goudhurst.  Art emigrated to Canada in 1949 and "Joy" followed in 1950.

Arthur married Kathleen Joyce BROOKS, daughter of Henry BROOKS and Dorothy LINDRIDGE, on 8 Jan 1944 in Goudhurst. Kathleen was born 1923 in Cranbrook, kent.

165. Derek Ian SCOTT (Alma Vera BARTLETT , Edward James , Nathaniel , Charles , Charles Cox , Thomas , Samuel , William , Samuel , Peter , William , Thomas ) was born 1929 in 12 Sebright Rd., Barnet.

Derek Ian Scott was born in 1929 at 12 Sebright Road, Barnet, Derek joined the Royal Navy and served in the Submarine Service. He was stationed for some time at Malta.  He married Gladys Frances Yeomans (born 1927 in London and raised in Kent) on April 9, 1948 at Hythe, Kent, They emigrated to Canada and he is presently in charge of a section of the Parks Department at Burlington.  They had four children
Jennifer Anne, married Bruce Burrows and had children: i) Nigel; ii) Megan; iii) Catherine.  Jennifer married secondly, Stuart Gilby.
Timothy Stratton, married Susan Green and had children: i) Jeffrey Stratton; ii) April Ellen; iii) Adam Mathew

Derek married Gladys Frances YEOMANS on 9 Apr 1949 in Hythe, Kent. Gladys was born 1927 in London, England.

Linda married (1) Thomas DUFFY. Thomas was born 18 Oct 1938 in Potters bar, Middlesex. He died 1979.

Now living in Ireland on family property.
